Mint condition sticker circa mid 80s - antiquetiger?

Tullis rustled some jimmies back in the day. OG Troll

LOOK! Not a single 400lb purple haired female in the crowd.

i'm old enough to remember those offensive lyrics, too!

LOVE how they encouraged the drinking and driving for a bunch of 18yo kids. This was pretty much CAD's nightly routine.

Hair

Ronnie, Ronnie, Ronnie... Back in the day when a simple apology ended a national story and everyone moved on with their lives.

EVERYONE knew that truck.

Lots of cocaine were consumed during that time; cocaine makes people not give a frick. Today people consume tictoc; tictock makes people only give a frick about the stupidest shite.

I haven't done cocaine in 20 years... but apparently the effects linger for decades

I got an autographed October SEC Playboy from that Circle K across from Fred’s.
“Party long and hard” she wrote. Can’t remember which one but it wasn’t Marci. I worked with her in the bar business for a bit.

I was there when the Ronnie Lewis thing happened. What was hilarious, is that after the game, Coach Arnsparger and Ronnie were both questioned about the act. They both denied it ever happened. Ronnie said he was "waving" to the student section. Coach said that Ronnie's father is a Baptist Pastor, and he would NEVER do anything offensive as what he is being accused.

The next morning, the photo came out.

Then, all the backtracking and apologizing. If you were there, you saw it clear as day. When they denied it, it was so stupid. But everyone didn't have phone cameras back then. I think they thought they could get away with it.

ETA: If you can get your hands on a Gumbo edition yearbook from around 1982-1986, do it. And look at the pictures. They're hilariously racists. Many students took photos in black face, gorilla masks, etc. It was unbelievably NOT PC.

I worked with Ronnie Lewis. But I didn't know it was THE Ronnie Lewis until sometime later when I went in his office and he had the photo on the wall. I busted out laughing and told him I was at that game. Then I flipped him off and walked out of his office.

Cracker Barrel hosted a Playboy signing party?

We used to be a proper country.

(I remember Mark Tullis and Jerry Schumacher. Sometimes I wonder what happened to them, based on how self-important they were at the time.)

I used to have Jerry on my KLSU radio show play live on air. Had to keep my finger on the kill switch but he usually behaved.

I think I have some of those old stickers somewhere.

My grandparents have LSU yearbooks from my dad / uncles from the late 70s - mid 80s. Always a trip to look at and appreciate how awesome that period was.

i was a regular member of 'jerry's kids' at free speech alley.

ran into schumaker in the late 1990s (he was riding a bike on Carrollton at like 9pm but i recognized him right away) and i yelled something out the window. he caught us at the next red light and said frick YOU to me and then turned off.

i also was kicked out of tullis' mom's house at a party he invited me to in the early 1990s for jumping behind the bar in the basement and making drinks for everyone i have a few photos from that party i'm not sharing.

Cracker Barrel was a big convience store on Nicholson, a block or two north of campus, towards downtown.

I knew Paige pretty well, then she got involved with that Jamie Wax goofball.

The gorilla was a yearly thing for a very long time, as was the annual appearance of Jimmy Hoffa.

she and Shay were regulars at TCBY where i worked and they used to come in together and flirt with me (or was it the other way around?)

probably the latter. now i'm thinking it was just a ploy to get free yogurt.

they made quite a pair.
