Really, it isn't far from the truth at all.

At face value, this appears as a conservative majority board without a shred of doubt.

Having been here for so many years though, I've seen a lot of "conservatives" out themselves or just outright reverse stance on issues. This place is more conservative than Reddit or DU or any of the social media platforms, sure. But it's certainly not dominated by principled conservatives.

I believe it is human nature to evolve over time to accept certain things, but it is also inherently human to remain staunchly convicted in certain beliefs and principles to a fault. I've seen enough flip flopping here to understand that this place is permeated by almost as many malleable sheep as all the other places. I have certainly evolved during my time here, but I have become more conservative whereas the general consensus has moved far more towards the center.

Trump has not won shite. The GA Appeals Court just agreed to hear his appeal. Dammit I should have actually researched this damned thing.

You heard wrong. It would go to PAC - the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia and they would take the prosecution role. Similar to what happened with Burt Jones.

The Court of Appeals granted an application for discretionary appeal. This is because the denial of the motion did not give them a right to a direct appeal. Granting an application for discretionary appeal doesn’t mean the court is going to rule in their favor. It just means that the court of appeals will allow the appeal to proceed. The parties still have to file appellate briefs and have oral argument, if the court grants oral argument.
