I doubt any of the SW are ‘77 since there’s so many mid ‘90s mixed in.

There is 2 or 3 from 77 and 2 from 78. It’s not hard to see. I know they are not super valuable.

Vastly overrated and doesn’t stand the test of time for much of their music

Came to say that, 6' 177, 32x32.

Usually can't find that size

Talk to some estate sale companies. It’s a fairly simple process. You take what you want, and they sell everything else. What doesn’t sell, they may trade to a clean out crew or give to Goodwill. They take about 35% and leave the house clean.

We did one for a house when we weren’t even in the same state.

Do you do a triage on your garage sales, planning on the best one to hit first, second, and so on?

Is being first to be on the scene as important as some people suggest?

Yes, I do look for the sale that sounds the most promising.

I'm just curious. Do you have a steady competitor, someone that always seems to show up at the garage sales that you attend?

You seem to buy a lot of stuff that I would figure would be bought early.

10-15 years ago, I had zero competition. I mostly focused on toys, LSU items, sports items, etc. Estate sales were mostly older people that owned antique booths. I was known as the LSU guy and toy guy so much, estate companies would ask me if I’d be interested in pricing items. I did help them for a while, but realized I was shooting myself in the foot.

Now, especially after Covid, when the resale business boomed, I have a lot of competition.

Check out “The Cajun Reseller” on YouTube. He is local, does it for a living, and his house looks like a hoarder home. Every room is piled up to the ceiling with stuff.

I would say there are a dozen competitors in the BR area. One focuses on LSU items to resale, but he’s been one of my competitors for the last 20 years.

The bat looks like it will do well. The way I figure that is the views to watches ratio. Usually a 10:1 is really good.
This bat is pulling a 2:1 ratio, something I’ve never seen in 20 years.

I did receive an offer of $35, but it was one of the first watchers, and it was automatically declined

Same or similar ash tray reference in #1 lawyer by James Patterson I was reading today. Had to do a double take!

This is click bait from Antique Tiger (again).

How can he claim in the title a “Babe Ruth Bat”? He wouldn’t be able to list it as that at an auction or in a business.

I guess he is just hoping you find something else from his lot, seek it on eBay, and bid it up.

Get butt hurt often? I put Babe Ruth because the title was all B’s.

Trust me, I don’t need the OT to bid on my items. I post it here to start an interesting conversation, just like everyone of my junk find threads. They run longer than the average topic on the board.
