This one makes sense. Lol

This being proposed by Cook County DA/Mensa member-Kim Foxx.

While the Cook County State's Attorney's office plans to appeal that decision, as the I-Team first reported this week, State's Attorney Kim Foxx has proposed a new plan to not charge gun crimes if the firearms were found during traffic stops for expired license plates, busted turn signals and other minor infractions.

So a solid plan to get illegal/stolen guns off of the streets is torpedoed by a state's attorney who gripes about gun crime. Sounds like a great plan, Kim. It's almost like black elected officials want black people to continue to kill each other.

So they can continue to blame White people for Black on Black crime.

Remember now... If you're trafficking $175,000,000.00 worth of fentanyl and you get pulled over for a broken headlight, you don't go to jail.

It just makes sense.

Good.

They shouldn't be looking for guns during traffic stops, unless you support gun control.

Does the same apply to child trafficking, DUI, theft, drug smuggling, kidnapping, committing murder, open alcohol....?

If you have a busted taillight, you get a get out of jail free card if you're found committing these additional crimes?

They should pull you over for a busted taillight, which is dumb anyway.

Whats happening now, its cops are waiting for you to make one wrong move so they have probable cause to arrest you for something, anything.

A search should be required before anyone starts a new thread.

They can't. Unless guns or drugs are in plain view or there is enough reasonable suspicion to give the police probably cause to search. They can't just "look for guns" at a traffic stop.

Maybe she’s a proponent of the second amendment.

gun crimes

Well this shouldn’t even be a thing anyway. There should be no crime for possession of a gun or any weapon. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

We know the real reason though. She wants black men to be able to continue as career criminals and stay out of prison.

The ironic thing is Ms. Foxx is assuming black people don't fix their cars.

Many of the guns seized during these types of traffic stops are stolen. Do you think people should possess stolen weapons?

Agreed

As long as they continue to kill each other, we should encourage them to use any guns. Legal and illegal weapons.

I don’t think people should steal, nor posses stolen property.

Do you believe those guys pulled over for a blinker light bulb malfunction should have their personal property rummaged through by the government?

Consider this: If those felons who’ve done their time could purchase weapons legally, would it be less likely that they would steal weapons of other citizens?

Consider this: if a person is deemed too violent to have all his rights including 2nd amendment, should they remain in prison? We know a person who wants a gun is going to get it legally or illegally. The law doesn’t stop gun possession.

This is acceptable but for the stray bullets that kill innocents.

There should be a sentence enhancement for pray and spray and another for holding the gun sideways even if it’s just a picture.

Well, seems like a viable plan.

Do you want them searching your vehicle for stolen stuff simply because you didnt use a turn signal?

Why stop at firearms? Why not drugs? Or kidnapping victims? Or murder (finding a dead body in the trunk)? Or apprehending someone in the car who is also a fugitive?

What she's trying to do is bring the crime rate down by making it harder to charge people with crimes when they are guilty of crimes. If she were to get her wish, it would only be a matter of time before she got Jason Williams'd. While I am all for such deserving servings of poetic justice, I'm not for all the other people who have to suffer before the impact reaches back to the source.

If marijuana or any other violation is present, yes, the vehicle should be turned inside out.

No, they'd still steal them anyway. That's why they're "felons".

Correct, “plain view” and probable cause are still a thing.
