The real reason to get on the coaching staff

They still haven't taught Jefferson how to step up in the pocket. That sack by Ciron Black's man was the dagger. If Jefferson steps up in the pocket and delivers the ball, we win with a field goal. We will continue to lose until they fix that.

Jefferson or any quality QB should feel that pressure and step up.

Jefferson should have never been put in that situation. The plays called once you got in field goal range should have been quick throws or runs to limit our chance of loss yardage. A couple of 5-7 yard slants or passes and maybe a 2-5 yd run and it's our game.
I think it's funny how from our lazyboys we continue to knock a 20 yr old kid for "NOT FEELING THE PRESSURE", if only he had a 50" plasma HDTV in his helmet he would have seen that rusher like the rest of us.

He shouldn't be in that position but he has to know to step up. That should be instinct in any qb.

Wasn't there some pressure coming from the middle on the play? Not sure if he could have stepped up regardless.

Okay, maybe not step up, but NOT BACK!!! He had more than 5 seconds to do something with the ball. First thing is why the 5 step drop even with the shotgun? EVERY QB is taught to have a clock in his head. Black did a nice job on the play, riding the DE up the field...QB cannot drift back, PERIOD!!!
You can say he shouldn't be in that situation all you want, but he has got to learn. Sick of hearing how young he is and all this BS...Know how many QB's have played and succeeded as a Freshman, RS Freshman, or a Sophomore? It's not that uncommon.

There was enough room to step up. But yes the OL is struggling too. I wish our only problem was learning how to run a 1 second fluke play.

Hes still not used to playing under center. In hs he played in the spread which meant in the shotgun he could see all the people that were coming after him.
