I am by no means a sunshine pumper, but everyone older than 30, knows it can get a lot worse in terms of where our program is now.

The fact is, it is not a talent problem, coaching problem, or anything else. It is youth and inexperience.

We are not Vanderbilt or a team that storms the field because they have never achieved anything of importance before. It may be hard for people that expect a national championship every year to accept.

I will still go to every game and support our team, because that is who we are. If the couch coaches and AD's had it there way, we would have new coaches every year, and there would be nothing wrong with that.

I think we beat Florida

Yeah what a horrible record the current coach has at his job.

This fanbase is fricking awful.

Not agreeing with the game plans/offensive philosophy doesn't mean you don't support them

No but blaming the coach for a horrible throw or for getting no penetration on defense at all. 150% the coaches fault. I understand it is the coaches job to coach but at some point accountability has to be given to the players.

It is a team, win together, lose together. Did not want to accept it, but our program has gotten way too spoiled, from the way players act, that have never accomplished anything, to the way fans just assume a stellar recruiting class will mean that we should be dominating SEC teams of seniors and juniors.

Enough blame to go around, it is easy to point out the negative, but there are a lot of positives. This experience will help them down the road, and when these guys come back to Auburn in 2 years they will remember what it felt like to lose like they did. Recruits recognize LSU plays young guys, and that even in a down year we will still put guys into the NFL. We have a Top-10 coach and one of the best staffs in the nation.

I am sick and tired of the "all or nothing" mindset of many on this site. "If you support and love LSU, you would not criticize" or "if you criticize any coach, player, gameplan, etc., you are not a true fan." I call B.S.!!! I love LSU and I bleed purple and gold. I would love for them to go undefeated in every event they are involved in......sporting, academic, or whatever. With that said, I have never been a Les Miles apologist. He has many flaws as a coach. He also has many wonderful attributes as a coach. Criticism does not mean all or nothing hate or support. I would wish nothing more than for him to finish the rest of his career as LSU's Head Football coach undefeated hence forward. It might not be realistic to expect perfection, but it is what I wish as a diehard LSU Tigers fan. So what if someone complains. Are most of us not intelligent enough to discern whether the criticism is legitimate or not? Banning criticism is oestrich-like behavior. Let's put our heads in the sand and pretend everything is rainbows and lollipops. In addition, it should also be okay to want one player to play over another player. I do draw the line at personally attacking any of our players though. For those who remember darker times and think how much worse it could be, you are correct. It could be worse.......but it's not! I want LSU to win, I expect LSU to win, I need LSU to win. We are not Vanderbilt. We are not Tennessee. We are not Ole Miss. We are not Mississippi State (yes, I said Mississippi State). We are L.S. freakin' U!!! We don't rebuild, we reload. I love LSU enough to criticize when need be. Geaux Tigers!!!

Yes it can and it looks like Les is taking the bullet train back to that place.

That's why I can no longer support him.

Now, that doesn't meat I don't support the team. It doesn't mean that I don't hope Les proves me wrong because I honestly hope he does.

I have just lost all faith that he can do it.

It was a good run, but everything ends. Unfortunately, it is gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Brandon is not only super talented, he is a classy guy with lots of loyalty and integrity. I say play him again. Not saying Jennings isn't talented, classy, etc..., but I have watched more interviews and film on Harris...

Love it when fans say I watch film.

Watching a highlight reel or a football game on TV is not film, not saying you do but there are a lot of people, especially recruiting who will say I "watch film", when in reality they watch a recruiting highlight video that only shows the good and then make judgements.

So this is how you so called fans treat the winningest coach in the SEC over the last ten years?

If Les Miles were paid only $150k per year I'd be less critical of his coaching.

I, too, am disappointed at LSU's performance over the past two SEC games, but I am not on the "Fire Les Miles" bandwagon. Perhaps we need to look at the fact that LSU is an academic institution with a sports program--not at all times great, but providing opportunities to many young people who will take over society in due time. LSU is not a sports program with academics--it is far more important to get the degree(s) than to gamble on a sports career. I don't see news for students and fans harassing Biology or History professors for teaching their views of evolution/intelligent design or with historical revisionism, but I see coaches being criticized for their methods. If you are an LSU fan, you should be proud that you have a program that is FOR student-athletes and not against them. I would be proud to have said I attended classes at such a fine institution and am able to represent it, or to have children who earned degrees there--but I was only born there at LSU and only have relatives who played there (one on the 1922 team). In time, a sports resume in an individual will begin to fade, but the contributions of people who learned life in an institution should impact people in ways that athletes cannot. Let's ease the pressure on the sports program and let the participants start to enjoy their time there. Booing and bad-mouthing the players and coaches basically tears down any support fans may have. There is an old statement that says "Let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouth but that which is good for edifying." Momma said to not say anything if you can't say anything good--of course, that pretty much shuts down the Rant...

I support local restaurants too. But if my waitress puts my plate of food on someone elses table, and after realizing her mistake wants to bring it to me and expects me to be happy about. Aint happening.

And if the restaurant manager decides its time to let her go because, shes done it a few times before, I will be more than happy to continue supporting that eatery

The all or nothing cuts both ways. Too many on here use any sign of adversity as an opportunity to throw the whole program under the bus.

In all fairness, CLM has had his share of criticism for many years now. It started long before this season. Like I said earlier, he has done many great things, but he can just as often be frustrating as hell too. The sky certainly is not falling, but it doesn't mean I'm not hoping for the weather to change either.
