Pretty sure it’s just 15 yards in high school.
ETA but the NFHS power point I just found says 15 yards and first down, so who knows.

Roughing passer/snapper/ holder are only auto 1st downs in La. H.S. DPI used to be. Rule change a few years ago.

Wrong. Under NFHS football rules, which Louisiana uses along with most states, there are only four fouls that carry an automatic first down and they all include the word "roughing."

No, DPI is not an automatic first. The only automatics in HSFB are roughing the passer, kicker, snapper or holder.

There are a few, Texas and Michigan that I know of, that go by NCAA rules, but there aren't many. Most go by NFHS.
