Kresge's. Wow. Great store. As a kid I recall their $0.1 - .99 pick-a-balloon price for a Banana Sundae and delicious counter burger.
Had all three Kresge's, Woolworth, and Grants 5 & 10s in my hometown center.

Texas State Trooper trainee learning how to "bulldog" a moving car. They'd jump off the motorcycle onto the running boards and shut the driver down. Must have been hell on the motorcycle. Edit: Apparently, this was generally used if a motorist was in trouble and couldn't stop the car. I could see it being used for a bad guy too, perhaps.
