Beloso hit .279 his freshman year and .313 last year

So he was hitting around .300 before this season started. He needs to stay in the lineup. Chances are he will get out of this slump and have a decent season.

If you combine all of your posts from your myriad of alters you're probably approaching 100,000 posts.

cause he hit a homerun? OK cool he got a trophy yall...let's see if that barely above 200 average is gonna work against sec pitching after facing po dunk teams ?? ..he starts cause pm has no one else to hit better at the positon

You consider .262 barely above .200? He is hitting closer to .300 than he is to .200.
When you find yourself in a hole, it is best to put away the shovel.

Thompson while he hit what 3 hrs.
He has hit 5 home runs which means he is averaging about one home run every three games that he has started.

It's revealing you have to resort to lying to make your case, sharkfhin.

Crews hitting leadoff is just silly. Can someone explain why this kid isn’t hitting 3 hole or cleanup?

There are a few legit reasons to keep him at leadoff. There may be more reasons to move him to 3, but keeping him leadoff is not a terrible decision (no way you want him hitting in the 4 hole in my opinion).

Keeping him at leadoff:
-He sets the tone
-He has a good on-base percentage
-He can run well
-He gets the absolute maximum number of bats available

You left out an obvious reason: he told Mainieri he prefers batting leadoff.

Was that public knowledge?

ETA: and I don’t know a player who didn’t prefer leadoff

It's simple. CPM wants our best hitter to get the most ABs. You're only guaranteed to lead off 1 inning.
