And the other WASPS, those White Anglo-Saxon Protestants hatefully exclude Women of Color, as well.
Honk, Honk

The WNBA should tone down the political statements or they might alienate the fan

They could send all that P-40 gear to ULM

Can the WNBA go a week without being “outraged” by some stupid bullshite?
They’re women. It’s not all that surprising that they’re continually mad and complaining about something stupid.
Well, I guess the ‘women’ part is debatable but the point still stands.

I didn't see that part when I originally made my post. But I still don't see what's wrong with honoring them.

I'll be honest - this seems exactly like something the WNBA would do. ever heard the saying, "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
this is a good example.
this is a good example.

I had never heard of that program. It would be pretty cool to read up more on them.
There is a show on PBS in Texas called "The Daytripper". He goes to locations around Texas and highlights restaurants, bars and other activities TX towns have.
On one of his trips he covered the WASP museum. It was pretty interesting. For one, very few people knew they existed besides the actual WASPs. Women in prominent wartime roles were not accepted in those days.
Another, among all of their duties is that they would pull targets 100 yards behind their planes for the men air force members to shoot at. 100 yards seems like a lot until you see the pictures and realize the further away the shooters are the more room for errors exist.
They also did not receive much pay and spent a lot of their own money to serve their country. It was a very close knit group as they were away from family, friends and other loved ones. The lady who curates the museum remembers the WASPs coming over to their house (her dad was a trainer or in charge of them) to play and cook, etc just try to have normalcy in their lives away from home.
He spent a few minutes of his program on it and I think he was blown away also. I think he thought he would just get some video of the planes and stuff they had in the museum. But the story turned into WAY more than that.

This is racist against trannies too right?

I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck that if there is a jersey that JUST honors some group of black women it would be perfectly fine and the whole "needs diversity" thing would go right out the window.
