You can find arguments online both for and against changing the transmission fluid. I went ahead Im and got it done. I chose the drain and refill option over the flush because I read that the flush can be damaging. I had to wait 24 hours for the shop to get the OEM Honda fluid but then the dumbass...

17 years on a 2000 Accord. Traded in but only issue was a transmission seal going bad.
Then got 13 years out of a 2010 Accord. Traded in because I didn’t want to spend $1500 on a front end repair that wasn’t easily diagnosed and didn’t want to chase the problem....

I have to do one every year. They find polyps every single time. 48 years old with a family history of polyps. Luckily, we’ve all caught them early....
