Pretty much. What are the percentage of hermaphrodites these days? Works just fine for 99% of the population. The mentally ill can be a man and think they’re a woman, a dog, a cat, or a beautiful oak tree. Doesn’t make it so.

The bigger and higher profile the office is, the more likely this is to be true. This isn’t exactly the local dog catcher we’re talking about here.

A statewide contest fits that bill and the party’s standard bearer does not have full backing without a full and ironclad commitment to not stray too far from the core beliefs.

JBE may give you inconsequential window dressing like pro life bills that would be signed by a republican as well but when it comes to the absolute bottom line, the interests of his party’s ideology comes first and foremost JBE has largely stuck by that.
