My brother’s MIL was in hospice and about to die anyway. But she had hung on for a long time with zero quality of life. She caught Covid and died, though.
I have an old friend from the oil and gas industry who died of Covid recently. He was in shitty shape pretty much his whole life. I hadn’t seen him in 10 years. I’d guess he was about 70.

I named 6 people and I’m the furthest person possible from saying Obama did a single thing well. You can be a hardcore conservative or hardcore Trump supporter while still acknowledging the impact of the China virus.
I’m still not vaccinated and not sure that I’ll ever be - caught Covid myself in November 2020 and was pretty damn sick even as a pretty healthy 37 year old (I’m 6’1” 200lbs and played college baseball. While I’m no longer in playing shape, I’m still not a fat arse and exercise regularly)- but pretending this hasn’t impacted me or those around me is stupid.
I still don’t think we should wear masks or shut anything down, but I know multiple people who have died from this.

My wife and I personally knew 25 people from January 2020 to May 2020. I'd guess there have been another ten people I know who has died due to Covid classified deaths.
Last year, it was the elderly dying. This year more young people are dying. Mainly those under 40 who haven't been vaccinated.
