Has anything happened with Alex Williams from Stanford? Began thinking about him again after Waldrep went to Florida

Not sure LSU has any contact with him. I don't see Williams on twitter and none of LSU coaches follow his instagram. So going by that I wouldn't expect anything with him.

Sounds like it is pretty much just Skenes on the radar as far as pitchers go.

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself, but I'm listening to Musso at the Box and his recap of the recent program news. I'm pretty sure this guy is retarded. He gets so much basic information wrong. I feel bad for the people whose main outlet for information is his podcast.

I find it interesting how different people are talking about Romero.

Kiley McDaniel is saying Romero arm is part of the reason he has fallen in the rankings and that he won't be a SS in the future.

Meanwhile this is in the write up of the MLB.com ranking.

"Romero is a smooth defender with more than enough arm to go along with the range, instincts and footwork to stay at shortstop for a long time."

It's a combo of those writers getting different looks themselves (they all see guys in person), and their scout contacts giving them different opinions.

That's why I like to follow so many sites. MLB, FanGraphs, BA, ESPN, and The Athletic all have guys that have been doing draft coverage for a long time and have a ton of contacts within in the industry.

PBRand PG have good writers too that see a lot of guys and talk to a lot of scouts.

ProspectsLive is relatively new, but I know they get a lot of in person looks as well. They're really strong with Cape Cod League coverage.

I read Romero had some shoulder injury affecting his arm strength.

I figured him too but I just don't see him passing up the money. You seem to have some inside info though and I don't. Really hope the chance of it happening is still alive.

The only plus is he is a Sophomore and would still have leverage next season. Does he want to go to school and take the risk to show how good he is and make 6-7 mil instead of 2 mil.

This particular comment was inspired by him saying Wes Johnson developed current Cardinals starting pitcher Dakota Johnson at Arkansas.

Dakota Johnson is Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith's daughter.

Dakota Hudson is the pitcher for the Cardinals. He pitched at Mississippi State, not Arkansas.

That’s interesting actually. I never listen to his podcast (mostly just b/c his style of speaking and all is too hard to listen to for more than just a few minutes at a time); but I know he is an avid baseball fan and has been following the program for a long time. I’ve talked to him a couple of times at the Box during fall/spring scrimmages and he generally seems knowledgeable and is good to talk to.

I've had the same experience myself, that's why I asked.

Per the Tennessee board Reggie Crawford is currently in Knoxville. Anyone know if it’s a visit or MLB type workout?

Probably a visit. Looks like he is hanging out with Drew Gilbert.
