Dumb, but certainly not new. One of the schools we played in HS had banners that said "mommy and daddy can't buy you pride" and other similar sentiments.
The appropriate response is to make a banner that says "At least we know who our daddies are"

No, this is just a new narrative... and if you did, your life must be pretty sad...
I went to Catholic schools all of my life except for college. I guess I was "privileged" since I had parents that busted their asses to give me and my siblings a decent education...

I only know of 2 of them still in existence in Louisiana - Central Private and False River Academy. I thought those places were going out of business.
I know of one in Alabama - Monroe Academy.
By that I mean they actively don't allow black folks to attend, not that black folks just choose not to attend.

Of course we did, but it wasn’t weaponized institutionally like it is now.

Are you under the impression privilege is a new concept?
It’s not, b it what is new is how labeling someone privileged can now be used as a cudgel to bludgeon and beat opposition into silence

White liberal females are the worse.

My sister got in trouble when she was at Woodlawn and they were playing Zachary and they made a sign that said, "Buck the Froncos!"
I'm not gonna tell you who gave her the idea!!!

While respecting their First Amendment right to free assembly, the fact that they actively don't allow any black folk to attend is pathetic and awful. My family went through public schools well past integration. I just don't get the taboo against mixing and mingling with black kids some people have.

Just counter with a "Have fun flipping burgers, poors!" sign. Problem solved: equity!

Like the joke goes, when you meet a vegan dog, we all know who is in charge
Posted on 10/20/21 at 11:23 am to wadewilson
Not really - Catholics probably already give to the church regularly.

i was told by crewdoshithead and The Spleen that CRT doesn’t actually exist and it’s all a lie being pushed by Fox News.

I still maintain that all those nuclear weapons tests they did in the 50's and 60's has had more of an effect on people than what they are letting on. People just aren't acting right or normal anymore

Also,
the opposing team’s sign should go something like:
I’m sorry our parents and their parents and their parents value education along with family, discipline, and hard work. Not to worry, our “privilege” aka taxes will continue to pay for your ‘education’.

Not only is CP not closing down, they are building a new school and seeing major growth

I guess it depends on the situation. If I was in a 70/30 or greater black/white ratio school zone, I'd do whatever I had to not to send my kids to that public school. Hopefully there would be non-discriminatory private schools around, or we'd try to homeschool.

This is high school football trash talk and it’s been happening for decades
Hell, half the responses in this thread confirm this, except it was going the opposite way
ETA- saying this is due to CRT and stuff is like saying there was a rise in Asian hate crimes bc trump called covid the China virus. It’s absurd
