Agree with this. I had no idea there was a book associated. Just watched because it was in the top-10 on Netflix, had Jeff Daniels, and was looking for a drama.
I watched the whole thing and left with the same questions as you. Peepgrass was sitting in board meetings but was living like a mailroom guy? The different storylines were held together by the thinnest of threads. Oh well, at least Diane Lane is still hot.
