Definitely Blue Corn for us.

Tacos - Birria & Barbacoa de Chivo Los Compadre's - I hope they open back up soon.

Came here to post this.

got their steak tampiquena and it was super tender and juicy.

Got the same dish a few weeks ago and it was excellent.

Service could not have been faster or more attentive.

Tio Javi’s. The service is insane, food is always out in 15 minutes

I love Modesto for a non-hole in the wall type place
Their salsa and queso are amazing and their tacos are very good

IDK why people shite on Tio Javi's. It's not much different than when it was Ninfa's. I've never had a bad meal there, but I've never been blown away by any TexMex in BR as well. Everything about them has been consistent.

I've only ever had Modesto tacos and those are top notch as well. I'm sure their entrees are pretty decent too.

The place on Siegen Ln. across from Rooms to Go. Not even sure it has a name other than “Supermercado y Taqueria”. No English spoken, no English on the menu.

I have a good friend who is from Mexico. He says the best Mexican food he’s gotten in the US is at El Limon on Jones Creek

I went there on mother's day and the salsa, both green and red, is the best salsa in town, hands down. Fajitas were ok, but the salsa was so good, i'm thinking about calling over there and asking if i can buy some.

I would put Blue Corn at the top for quality, but my favorite is Tio Javi's just for the gallon of green salsa I will consume before my entree.

That place was incredible like 10-15 years ago when it was the first game in town as far as authentic Mexican, and don't get me wrong it's still solid, but there are other much better places, such as Sahuayo.

I ate there a couple times when I lived in Woodlawn Estates. We had some neighbors whose family was associated with the place and recommended it, but I thought it was just okay.

2nd. I like that they lean into what's good here, and incorporate it into Mexican. The crawfish/shrimp/etc Enchiladas are great

Los Reyes on Coursey. They also have a location on Lee across from Mike Anderson’s. I’ve never ordered anything off their menu I didn’t like. Quesadillas, Tacos and Fajitas are very good! They also serve good Margs and the Happy Hour is excellent!

Doesn’t really matter. I like traditional Mexican while the wife prefers Tex-Mex. We’re open to either option as long as the restaurant is good

Blue Corn.

You want beef tongue tacos, ceviche, mole, etc? They've got you. Your wife wants quesadillas or fajitas? They've got her. I like the little hole in the wall places where no one speaks English as much as anyone, but if I'm getting Mexican with people who aren't looking for that kind of adventure, Blue Corn is my pick every time.
