Those are pretty outrageous numbers.

For the guy comparing this to Speights, just no. Speight's a warm body that falls on running backs after they've gained 8 yards and gets a tackle stat.

Omar had a lot of tackles, but in his last 2 years combined at OSU he had 13 TFL, 0.5 sacks, 2 PD, and 0 FF.

In the past 2 years combined, Trey Moore has had 35.5 TFL, 22 sacks, 9 PD, and 3 FF.

ETA:

I understand different leagues, but dominance is dominance.

Or see Albany transfer Jared Verse.

Not saying he's the next Verse, but watching his HS film, he's quick, twitchy and uses his hands well to disengage from the blocker.

2 years of eligibility.

Certainly worth a look.

See here’s the difference, a guy with those numbers has elite football awareness. Those are the kids you want, especially when they combine that with all the right measurables. This guy or the guy from Florida or both. Add another DT or two. Then add 1-2 corners and safeties. 1-2 WRs, a QB and LB. Everyone but the QB needs to be ready to play. That’s 8-10 players. I’m pretty sure we can find the room.

Defense has to change so get an aggressive big name DC, (I hope it’s Derick Mason) a big name DL coach and DB coach. LB coach as well. Let’s go to work on this Defense! Let’s do this LSU!

Him and Nolen are two of my favorite prospects in the portal. Don’t think we pony up the money for Nolen though.

Nothing, because he can always say he over pursued coming off the edge. LB can be exposed easily on replays showing they filled the wrong gaps or they are slow as shite trying to run down someone on the outside, or like Speights was common for looking slow and taking the wrong angles, and could not tackle.

This dude is way better than Omar!
