What are your expectations for Bryce Underwood in 2025?

Lets just play the hypothetical game and say Nuss wins a natty this year and heads for the draft. Would you rather see Rickie/Hurley take the role for a year, or toss Bryce in from the get go and let him learn on the fly?

With the transfer portal, elite guys wanna get in the game early. I wonder if 2025 is just us throwing out our star freshmen and letting them all start to gel.

I still think it will be a money game to get him to sign here

Hurley is actually younger then underwood right? So I dont think hurley would have a leg up, besides being in the system for a yr. Age wise both would be thrown into the fire... and both seem to be very confident / mature. Collins needs to improve over the next year, otherwise it might be those 2 competing for the spot, if Nuss has a great a year and bolts in your hypothetical.

I don’t see Nuss leaving unless he has some crazy year that projects him as a top 2 round pick. I expect Bryce to get some packages in 25 and become the starter in 26.

Underwood is 16 still I think. One of the youngest players in his class. Hurley is older.

Don't think that'll be too hard with the QB class this year

Seems weak right now and any QB can make a push for the first two rounds now, if he has a decent year there will definitely be talks of him leaving

There’s also a good chance he loses 4/5 of his OL after this year. Frazier and Dellinger will run out of eligibility. Dunno what the odds are of getting Campbell and/or Jones back. Doesn’t seem great.

So yeah if it’s a weak class and he has a good year I can see it.

That would be the ideal plan but hurley looks really comfortable in this offense

His money deal is over. LSU gave him a can't miss opportunity. He's moving to BR. It's over.

Based on what? A long TD pass against some walk on’s? Underwood is the future.

It’s not a strong class right now, but a lot can change and guys can move up draft boards much like Jayden, McCarthy, and Nix did last year. It’s within the realm of possibility that he leaves, but I think he comes back as a top 3 QB in the country in 2025. 1 year starters aren’t highly regarded in draft circles. He’ll probably need to add to his resume as a 2nd year starter.

Underwood is not coming here to sit behind Hurley or Collins.

Yeah, the 4 of them are likely gone.

Just sucks the defense isn't up to snuff by now.

The last 3 years, LSU, starting QB has had at least 2800 total yards and 28 Total TDs in around 12 games. The last pocket passer Max Johnson, had 2800 yards and 27 TD passes in 12 games. Seeing that our WR turned QB threw 3 TD passes vs K St in a bowl game, Max Johnson would have likely finished with 3100 pass yards and 30 pass TDs with a bunch of freshman WRs and Jenkins.

Daniels averaged 27 passes per game last year. I'll give Nuss 5 more per game at 32. At 9 yards per pass attempt, that's 288 ypg and over 13 games that's 3744 yards. Give him 30 TD passes too. I think that easily puts him in the first 2 rounds with his NFL coach dad, a 4th year player that would likely have over 600 pass attempts in his career. He's 6'2, close to 200lb with a big arm, and will be running some stuff they do in the NFL.

Add to the fact that we lose everybody but the center on the OL, at least 3 WRs and possibly 4, likely TE Taylor if he has a nice TE year (600 yards 7-8 TDs), and veteran RB Williams.

The 2025 QB draft class is very Underwhelming currently. If he has a great year it will be easy for him to move up draft boards.

Correct. His family has been house shopping the last few weeks. Looking in Zachary and Ascension.
