I agree. He leaves balls up way too much. In that situation it’s not good in my opinion to have him in.

He had two pitches. He either shoves or gets rocks.

Guidry K’s 14 batters per 9 & has one of the lowest BA agsinst on the team. If not the lowest out of anyone that pitches regularly

He hasn’t exactly pitched regularly. When he can spot his fastball he is effective. If he has to throw the breaking ball for a strike he gets hit.

One thing I’ve learned about CJJ is the crazy bastard plays to win each and every inning. Yes, he moves the lineup, moves guys in and out, shifts the field that bites him in the arse 8/10 times, pulls pitchers before a cat can lick its arse, leaves pitchers in too long, and has t hasn’t developed a quality bunt in his tenure at LSU.

He mends his players to not only be solid men for the rest of their lives as well as to make millions of dollars playing the game they grew up loving. This past week has been fun to see. It’s all coming together at the right time with a young team. Yes, it’s been frustrating as shite to get to this point, but each and every young man in that dugout will forever be better as a whole for their struggles thus far.

He’s also a one trick pony and his trick isn’t the fastball. That rightfully leads people to be nervous.

Guidry is a one trick pony. All the hitters have to do is sit slider because his fastball isn’t going to blow by you.

Look at innings pitched compare to Herring. One is not like the other.

Guidry 12
Herring 36
Ack 30

Appearances don’t mean anything.

Guidry seems to get the job done when big stuff is on the line.
His energy gets batters thinking.

Can he get better, yes and needs some physical maturity to get some more Heat on his pitches but coach knows he needs his leaders to get anywhere this season so he is doing what he can for them to get confidence.

Ball was crushed, glad Kling was able to run it down.

shite me too! Every single pitch is a fan cringe. I love his passion for LSU Fighting Tiger Baseball, don’t get me wrong; but yeah his slider hangs sometimes, and his fastball is weak.

222

He’s best suited to throw 1 inning at a time.

His sample size isn’t abnormal here.

Dating back to last year, he’s K’d 62 guys in 41.2IP.

He’s given up 33H in 41.2IP.

He’s had a bad problem with walks this season but him being hittable due to his velocity or pitch mix is a MYTH

Problem is he’s a 2 pitch pitcher with a soft fastball. Easy to sit on the curve.
