This is a paper written in 2017. 18 professional rugby players had this procedure between 2010-2015 for ankle syndesmosis injury.
Results
Eighteen players from six different clubs were included. The most common mechanism of injury was forced dorsiflexion/eversion. The average return to participation was 64 days (SD 17.2, range 38–108). This compares favourably to reports of between 120 and 180 days following screw fixation.
Here is a web article on the subject and about Tua’s previous surgery:

Even if he his, he won’t be 100%.

Thank God. I was worried he would never be ready.

You did way too much
Take a well deserved break

No doubt Saban will throw him out there. He has no choice.
But even a 75% Tua is still dangerous.

They play Auburn next week

People forget that players have to be able to also practice during the week leading up to the game as the coaches employ the game plan. So while the game date will close to the timetable to return, Tua won't be able to practice even as the game gets close.
This. Too many people are also overlooking the effect of not being 100% will have on his mechanics. Late last year, Tua was not the same QB once he got banged up & I expect the same outcome with this injury.

A hurt Tua struggled against Miss St & UGA last year.

If average return to participation is 64 days why do you think he will be back in 20?

And with the low at 38 days. If he plays he might regret it

If tua plays vs LSU and hurts his ankle even more does saban get a pass?

Would be a difficult time, but Finebaum will have his back.

I have little doubt he will play, but, as others have said, I have no doubt he will be far less than 100%.
I also don’t think he plays especially well when banged up (I wouldn’t either).
Unfortunately, for Bama, it doesn’t look like there’s a great plan B at this point. The only TD pass last game was thrown by WR Slade Bolden.

Have you considered medical school?

He torched us with his legs as well as through the air.

He will play, but definitely shouldn’t. He may end up costing himself millions if he gets another lingering injury.
