This times 1000. A host regional should be the home team every game unless they have the worse record in a game 6. In a super regional, at the minimum, the home team should be the home team in games one and three. There should not be a coin flip.

Why? Team is a host site, not a home team. There are no home teams in regional, only hosts.

Bases in softball are too damn close. Too many routine ground balls are beat out for hits. Need to expand infield bases distance from 60 to 65 feet. Have outgrown 60 feet with today’s players.

You play all season to make the tournament and host. Then you have to be a visitor in your own park to a team less deserving.

Sorry 1515, No one was responding to this game update while the other thread was more popular than the game as I somewhat lost interest listening to loud mouth. He reallly does not represent LSU well especially to opposing teams.

My other family members went to Tulane, USC and UCLA SB and doubt these universities would put up with this 7 inning distraction.

Attendance is disappointing
Outfield is pretty empty for a regional

SIU beats Cal 3-2. Cal committed 4 errors. SIU only had 3 hits.

This couldn't set up any better for LSU. SIU only has 2 pitchers and we saw both of them today. SIU's offense isn't nearly as potent as Cal's.

No excuse not to be celebrating a super regional berth tomorrow.
