The US team is considered to be the world champion because the US has by far the world's best basketball.

Of course, Popovich somehow found a way to lose games while coaching the US Olympic basketball team.

Who was that team that had Kawhi and won the chip before COVID?

He cries when his former players gets booed but degrades reporters for doing their job. The biggest POS Coach in the league

Yeah. The booing probably would have been obnoxious if it were a high school basketball game, but that wasn’t a high school basketball game. It was a grown man’s game. It was a game where grown men are paid in the 8 figures to play a fricking sport. If you’re getting paid in the 8 figures to play a fricking sport as a grown man, I think you can take booing as part of the job.

Every coach that has won multiple rings had great players around them. Never recalled Phil Jackson beating down the door in New York to coach the Knicks, which was his "dream job." Pop and he get too much credit.

Josh Primo whipping out his schlong to female Spur employees was Pop's downfall lol

What an incredibly stupid 1st round pick by the Spurs.

I hate Pop’s political stances, but I’m a Spurs fan. To suggest that Trump is the reason the team is losing is laughable. Pop didn’t “forget” how to coach. It’s a star driven league. When the Spurs had talent, Pop molded them into champions. That’s not easy to do. It’s why so many superteams nowadays have failed. It takes a special coach to manage those personalities.

The fact that he’s not actually on the hot seat is dystopian

why would he be? You think that tanking to get Wemby wasn't planned by the entire organization? they just happened to finish dead last the year he was in the draft because of bad coaching and were actually trying to win?

Peak Phil Jackson ain’t winning with these guys. Pop 10 years ago wouldn’t win with them. Red Auerbach couldn’t win with them.
