Too many coaches abuse young pitchers these days like a rented mule to win games

A guy I work with has a son whose coach almost ruined his arm by throwing him so many innings and this was at the little league/dizzy dean level so not even at the high school/college level.

When the dad confronted the coach about it the coach made some smart arse remark about winners want to win.

Off-speed puts less stress on the elbow valgus than fastballs do

A curve ball isn't just an “off-speed” pitch. The pitcher is twisting their elbow in an unnatural way throwing St high speeds. You clearly know nothing of developmental physiology.

Yep. When I played dizzy dean a lot of the parents got together and tried banning the curve ball. My head coach brought in a college coach friend he had and tought our pitchers a 'change up' which was just a slow 12/6 curve ball. The only way we got away with it was two of our starting pitchers dads we also assist coaches.
