Right now I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself.

Why the frick would they take on the ATs frontal, all they gotta do is swing around from behind every time they make their pass.

Was Luke retarded?

Why hasn’t Family Guy spoofed this battle by having all the speeders take the ATs from behind and wrap them up within 2 minutes then everybody’s like “ok boys battles over”

There were also scout walkers providing covering fire and infantry. You don’t just send in the tanks with no other support.

I was born in the late eighties so Anakin and the prequels were “my Star Wars” after my dad grew up with Luke.

Anakin has been redeemed and is so much better than Luke

The prequels were a letdown after the original trilogy mostly because of some rough acting and really bad CGI. In retrospect, when you realize all the little strings Palpatine pulled to get himself into power along with exposing the outdated Jedi order, the story was brilliant and it just lacked a little execution.

I enjoyed most of 3. And Darth Maul in 1.

I don't know why most Star Wars ships don't have weapons on the back (or sides). At least, have one or more multi-directional turrets controlled by a second person like Dak, or a computer or an R2 unit.

The Death Star Trench Run unnecessarily sacrificed a lot of defenseless X-wing pilots running interference by following the leader as they couldn't shoot the Tie Fighters who were following behind them. And if the Tie Fighters had multi-directional guns, they wouldn't had to even enter the trench. They could've shot down at the X-wings from above.

Went to the theater to watch episode 1 last night and you are correct. The movie rounded out a bit when you got past some of the goofy stuff like jar jar but the cgi was over the top especially for the time. I did like the hints they dropped with Palpatine along the way that you had to really pay attention for. Most people will miss the music playing when they show his final shot

An actual in universe answer would be that adding an extra laser and the apparatus to have it rotate would reduce speed/mobility and increase size so attack surface. To add those components to a ship would need a power core like you'd see on the Millennium Falcon or Outrider or Slave 1. X-Wings and A-wings were built for fast attack and dodging enemy fire.

Pay attention?? It was almost like they had a giant flashing sign following him the whole series of prequels declaring him the future emperor

lol is this a serious post? the only thing that was even remotely in question at any time was whether or not Sidious was Palpatine or if Palpatine was going to take over for Sidious. but even then, most people just assumed Palpatine was Sidious.

fixed. (and that might not even be true - the subtitles probably say Imperial March playing softly in background)

The tow cables seemed like something they came up with on the fly, after finding out their blasters did no good against the walker armor.

i think the general idea was they were designed to be like fighter jets, and F-16s, etc, dont have multi-directional guns either.

The fan theory that Jar Jar was the Sith Lord would have saved the 7-9 trilogy. That whole concept was better than anything Disney could have written.
