Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To is the heavy music album of the yea

This came out last week and I've listened a few times now. Its absolutely crushing heaviness, its aggressive, and just has a dark feeling about it. They've really surpassed the hardcore genre and incorporated a bit more experimental stuff in here. I'm sure a lot of the old guys here won't be into, but it sounds modern and fresh, while still being extremely heavy. They're about to go on tour with Slipknot and really establish themselves as one of the top acts in the genre.

That will not be my heavy music album of the year. The vocals are just not up to snuff.

I'm not a huge fan of hardcore but there's been a lot of crossover between hardcore and death metal the last few years that have made both more interesting. Knocked Loose is not pure hardcore anymore but they've made this sound somewhat palatable to the masses, which is pretty amazing.

The vocals, especially on some of the other tracks, do sound kind of funny.

It could just be the algorithm talking, but I read in two different places last night that this is already outcharting Taylor Swift on Spotify.

That is hard to believe but I think this album will solidify them as metal's next big thing. They could be this year's Sleep Token or Bad Omens.
