Letting Hendrickson go was moronic.

Carl Granderson has been a good DE though.

I honestly don't think Turner makes this roster if Young isn't on PUP for the start of the season. He has all the makings of a guy you trade for a 7th round pick at cut time.

I didn’t like the pick, was a major reach. But he looked better in the preseason and they had good reports from training camp that he was going to at least be in the rotation. He just got injured again.

His comp was Davenport out of college, and so far it’s been pretty close. But at least Davenport had one good year.

We didn’t have the money to keep him.

MT13 contract hamstrung us in many ways. That and Peat and trying to wait to sign Williams.

Saints should have let Peat walk, signed Vonn Bell and then signed Hendrickson.

But you know hindsight and all.

I'm not convinced that this front office would be willing to admit its error though

I am. Cause its not this year, nor last year or the year before that he failed to live up to the draft. Its not a secret as this thread shows.

Honestly, 2021 is a rather lackluster draft.

That being said, would be nice to have Barmore right now

I remember liking Asante Samuel Jr, Greg Newsome, Rousseau, and Caleb Farley.

Greg Rousseau would be really nice to have right now.

That was a no brainer not to pick up his 5th year

Well he declined the first several years of his contract so turnabout is fair play.

As others have said he's a waste of a 1st.

Per WalterFootball....Defensive line clearly has the most first round busts since 1993 at 47%. Basically 1 of every 2 are busts. QB's as expected, aren't much better. Offensive line is the lowest at only 19% bust rate. So this makes so much sense on why I become irate every time I see a DE get picked or mocked to the Saints in the first round.

We have now spent Three firsts (two on Davenport, one on Turner) 2 2nds Kihaha, and Foskey. and a pretty big busted contract on Junior Gullette to find a serviceable DE on the other side of Jordan and we keep whiffing.

Very true and you let the answer in T Rex leave the building because of your drunken sailor spending on other holes (Peat’s second contract among others).

Mismanaged franchise led by a female owner who cares more about horses, the Cathedral, and decorating her properties than building a winner.
