We are 3-4 this year with a loss to a division foe.

Dennis Allen is 18-42 as a head coach and 10-14 as the Saints head coach.

If the draft were held today, we would have the 10th overall pick.

Depending on where you look, we either had the easiest or second easiest schedule.

Our point differential for the entire year is 6.

We are 25th in passing TDs and 22nd in rushing TDs.

We are tied at 6 for the most penalized team in the NFL.

We are bottom 4 in QB pressures and bottom 6 in sacks.

Solid secondary. No pass rush. Terrible offensive line. Awful playcalling, especially in the redzone. QB is clearly playing hurt and not in sync with wide receivers. Atrocious special teams, which used to be a strength.

They need to make a change at playcaller because situational coaching has not been good this year.

They have had some success with shuffling the o-line which has improved some the past two games.

They need to blitz more on defense to get pressure and force turnovers.

At 3-4, they’re only a game out of first place in the division, so some minor adjustments could still salvage the season and get us in the playoffs.

My opinion is that Dennis Allen is a great d-coordinator, but not a good head coach, and that Pete Carmichael is a bad playcaller, as he was O-coordinator under Peyton, but Sean called the plays.

I'd say "Re-Build" but this FO and Ownership, as currently constructed, can't or won't do that.

HOWEVER

If we want to look at the bright side, couldn't we just say "Fix the O-Line and things will markedly improve" ?

The worst possible place we could be. Not bad enough for a high draft pick and not good enough for the playoffs. Comfortably mediocre.

This team mother fricking sucks. It just does. Easiest schedule in the league and not even above .500 after 7 weeks. That is beyond pathetic. A lot of issues with a lot of areas on our team and our coaching staff is a train wreck.

O-line has been playing better, but Carr is now playing with happy feet. Rushing throws, getting to checkdowns way too quick, throwing rockets to receivers at the LoS... Don't know what it will take to have Carr get out of his head and stop playing in panic mode.

We’re going to wind up a game or two around .500 and it’s going to suck

Winning 3 of the next 4 gets us to 6-5.

Ugh. That's where. Nothing the Saints have shown so far says we can get anywhere near that.
