We should pool our resources and rename it the OT Ranch.

Someone from California will buy it, turn the entire land into a section 8 housing community

I don’t want land that close to Mexico, so I will pass.

Honestly if I were Musk or Bezos level rich I'd probably buy every piece of property I could get my hands on. Conspiracy theorists would go nuts over me.

I've been to the Brewster Ranch. Much of it is very desolate, but there is also some spectacular scenery especially in the areas around Big Bend National Park.

San Francisco Creek flows through the Northern part of the ranch. It is a rarity - a year round creek in that part of Texas (though only for about five miles). One could build a house in the bluff above the creek and see for miles (and have no neighbor for miles).

Direct connection to Mexico, lots of uninvited visitors.

For that reason, I am out

It borders Mexico in one spot, but that spot is a deep canyon so no one is crossing there.

Not a bad idea. Close to the border means tons of illegals so there won't be a shortage of tenants. Feds will pay so no worry of money not coming in. Slumlording at its finest.

I’d build a huge temple with vaguely satanic markings on the outside. Also would have contractors build a huge tunnel (nothing would actually be in it).

In OT tradition, I'll put up $350.

I wonder how many dead Africans and Chinese who died trying to cross the border you’d have to scoop up off your property every day.

Could you imagine the arguments about what’s a cull and what isn’t, and how to boil crawfish for the annual spring work weekend?
