I just feel. Like they are either locked down, or rut is over and evwrything slows down. Its EVERY year. After about 7-10 days in january, it just completely falls off. Its crazy

I find mid December is worse which is typically a few weeks before the rut, but this year I’ve been seeing more activity in general regardless of month or moon. Started hunting mostly in the woods with a climber. Found a few good trails off of some hardwoods/creek bottoms. Only time I’ll be a box now is if my son is with me.

Christmas hunting pressure pushes them back into the nocturnal mode....my opinion. Late Jan early Feb I normally see a more normal feeding pattern return....but still very slow.
