Two different fire sticks in our house and it happens only when watching YouTube TV. It just randomly shuts off, the Fire TV logo appears, and it restarts.

Anyone have any advice or insight?
I troubleshot with Amazon and they basically told me I need a new firestick, here’s a coupon. Then today it happened on another one.

My chromecast 4k started giving me problems recently as well. Just goes black screen and stops responding. Power cycling "fixes" it, but the issue reappears within a day.

Going back to Roku as well.

Have you tried deleting and re-adding the YouTube TV app?

I've brought a couple of Firesticks back to life by doing a reset on them but YMMV.

How many amps are you sending to it? If it's not getting enough it will restart.

If reboots and resets to factory default don’t work, trash it. I’ve had an 6 of them. Last one I have is a fire cube. Have to reboot it sometimes and Alexa sometimes activates thinking I said something when I said nothing close to the name.

Mine would never recognize me talking to it, but responded to my 4 year old calling it Melissa.

I have one of those. Got one as a gift a 3 years ago. It's great as long as you're not trying to watch video in Dolby Vision. Then, it bogs down and looks like poop.

The Chromecast 4k was great for about a year and then it started randomly freezing up. (Did a factory reset and it started doing it again. Can only assume it's a mandatory update that hoses it.) Powercycling "fixes" it, but it comes back. Like it's got a memory leak.

Roku is the best product by far in that space. I have some that are many years old that still work like new. Not to mention when you setup a new one it grabs everything you already had setup automatically. Amazing product
