I’ll be in Colorado about an hour north of Denver this October. Only there 3-4 days so looking to maximize my time. Looking for some recs or day trips?
TIA

Estes park, RMNP, sounds like you’ll be close to FoCo, there’s plenty to do there. If you’re ok with making the trip steamboat springs is a must, I recommend the strawberry springs if you go there but you have to have a res.
Boulder is pretty nice as well, if you are into hiking, the flatirons is fairly easy hike with a great view of Boulder and CU.
If you’re looking for small town vines just head north to Cheyenne. Went there during the summer of 2020 and it was about as normal as a place could be during those times.

I also recommend Estes Park and RMNP. Depending on when you're there, you may be able to see the aspens in full color. It's beautiful!

Estes Park is beautiful. The Stanley Hotel is there. That’s the hotel that The Shining is based on in case you don’t know.
It’s right next to RMNP. Lots of wildlife and nice hikes there. If you like wildlife viewing you can see quite a bit just outside of the park also.
I’ve never been to a show at Red Rocks, but you might luck up and catch a concert there.
