No but thats the plan for my kids. They aren't raised in wealth but they'll he given quite a bit when I pass. Probably freak them out I expect.
Why would you not have some discussions with them? Do some things to enjoy with them, a nice vacation a year or something like that. ...
18,000 acre properties are not everywhere. Sure you can buy it in west Texas but who the frick wants to go there outside of hunting exotics? You buy this because you can be there in 2-3 hours anytime you want and get away from people. As others have said, Covid really ramped up the top 1% interest i...

re: Tuna trips out of venice

The big tuna are caught in the late winter early spring for the most part. It’s very hit and miss, 20-30% odds really from what I’ve seen they just move a lot. If there’s only 3 of you, you really should split it with someone else. As said it’s $2400+ gas and tip last I looked for most of the gu...
Obviously I've been fully team Scheff in this thread
I'm not on team Scheff. I think he probably ignorantly escalated the situation himself beyond what should have been done. As someone said, a traffic violation is fine here. But to cuff him and take mugshots? Ridiculous. ...
There also clearly needs to be better communication and chain of command in this department to prevent Scottie from ending up with a mug shot in an orange suit from one officer having a grumpy morning either way
This is what's laughable. Or even beyond the back of the squad car. ...

re: Smoking salmon today

Does it really take 18 hours? How come so long? I’ve only smoked fish for flavor and it only takes an hour or so. I’m not disagreeing I just had no idea Eat: one of my favorite things for breakfast and also is a good hearty app, is to cut a medium boiled (not hard boiled) egg in half and top it w...
I’m not sure what people expect? It’s cheap crap. At the same time, why would China have a labor issue and need to pinch pennies?...
If one switch works and the other does not, its likely a bad switch. Some are super easy and cheap to replace, others are not. I just did it on my wife's car. Our two rear seat switches would not work and the driver's switch worked intermittently. Replaced the driver switch and they all work now...
I vote yes. My wife bought packing cubes a couple of years ago and a laughed at her. Now I will not travel without them. I love having my different types of clothes separated neatly in their own little cube. I leave everything in the cubes even when I put them in the drawer / closet wherever ...

This can be a somewhat stupid analogy but it helps me with my boat justifying maintenance when it doesn’t seem like it’s been very long. I understand cars are different…but let’s say you drive a car at 60mph then 40 hours is 2400 miles, 60 is 3600 miles, and 100 is 6000 miles. ...
As said, an ejection is still an extremely high G and high risk maneuver. Even if the pilot did everything correctly it would be easy for him to land on something on the ground that could kill him like the tail of another aircraft. ...
Obviously you also have to work your dick off. Most C Suite people I’ve come in contact with would rather be at the office than catching their alma maters Saturday night game.
This. For everyone that’s just lucky there’s 10 that worked their arse off, were yes men, and were willing...

re: New Water Line Installation Costs

You probably need to post your location. It won’t be cheap, there’s a reason most people live close to the road in the country. Is well water a possibility?...

re: Hidden costs of boat ownership

Trailer repairs will cost you especially for a double axle, but that's only every 5-7 years or so. Are you handy? Do you know electrical and basic plumbing? Software? Can you do an oil change and spark plug change? If you have to hire someone to fix every little thing it will eat you alive...
Oh I get it, I understand the reasoning. But it would be like a secondary rental car. There's liability and other issues at hand. A ticket to an event you just hand over the ticket. That's part of the business of hotels though. That's one of the ways they influence price. Many now offer refu...
Lol, gtfo. You want to sublease our hotel room? Why do you think that's allowed?...
It has taken me nearly 60 years, but I have finally realized that every woman wants to be honored on every holiday. On holidays such as Mother’s Day, I just wish every woman I talk to a “happy Mother’s Day” and go on about my business. I haven’t had anyone yet that told me she was not actua...
