I would never take "David D" at their word.
That said, there are a lot of people with a lot of maps showing very similar things. It looks like the AFU successfully counter-attacked outside of Kharkiv.
Russia is inching forward here or there, but they're paying a heavy price for it. ...

The war started in 2013 when Russia pushed Ukrainian leadership to abandon joining the EU, even though joining the EU is written into the Ukrainian constitution.
The "peace deal" required the Ukrainian government to surrender, demilitarize, and stop pursuing EU membership. ...

The recent news has not been flattering. Push to Kharkiv? Failed. Push near Kursk? Failed. Push to take over Donbas? Still stalled....
