It was double elimination I think until 2013 when they expanded it from 8 teams to 10 (and then 12 the next year). When it was 8 teams, you had a max of 6 games in 5 days. Now with this format, if they kept it at double you’d have 7 games in 6 days which college teams really aren’t built for. ...

It's not a "snake" bracket where 1, 32, 33, and 64 are all in the same bracket. After 1-16 all 2 seeds are "equal," all 3 seeds are "equal," and all 4 seeds are "equal" and they send them to what makes the most sense geographical...

I can't confirm, but I think they use the NCAA regional rules. Basically, whoever has been the home team for the least amount of games is home. If that's tied, whoever has been the visitor for the most amount...
