Ortofon 2m Blue
That's what I have and I like it... but I'm far from an audiophile and a lot of the subtleties and nuances between different cartridges are lost on me.....
shite that happened a decade ago is wholly irrelevant to how a club is run in 2024.
That's a stupid comment.. its what has allowed them to be run so well today... ...
The “chaos” episode is greatness.
That episode was loosely based on "The Onion Field" I absolutely loved that show... I remember no one else I knew really watched it, so 5 seasons was a nice run.. although, I guess technically it was cancelled after the first season.....

Those first couple of records are really good... I haven't listened in years though! I kinda got bored with the whole Jack White thing and stopped paying attention to WS and any of his other projects... Talented guy though......
I bought the tickets well in advance and it was billed as Squeeze as the headliner. Seems like they are sort of on equal footing in terms of popularity/legacy...so maybe they alternated the order of shows?? Not sure really. BTW Squeeze will be in both Houston and Dallas in August.
...
I flew my buddy in from BR to visit and he loved it so much that he decided to move to Hoi An. Got a 2 br apartment by the beach ($250 a month) and a job at a tailor shop.
Mother Love Bone is like Soundgarden—they were proto-grunge bands whose sound was discovered by the general public after Nirvana exploded.
I was thinking more sonically, than commercially.. they were way more glam and have little in common with bands like Nirvana, other than geogr...

I never cared for them at the time they came out and in retrospect, still don't.. But that's just my personal taste.. To answer your question though, I think they were percieved as part of the fallout of every major label A&R guy trying to latch on to the next big thing... And that they never re...
smoothed the transition from hair metal to grunge
I can't think of one... Most of the bands that were considered "grunge" were the antithesis of Hair Metal... Gun to head, I'd probably say Mother Love Bone......
I pulled this record out the other day... while I haven't forgotten it, it always hits me so hard.. these dudes were in high school at the time... the family tree of this band is so fricking good.. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oR2PxumuAgE[/embed]...

I gotta say, I have always really liked this song.. I don't know much about the Killers music outside of a handful of their hits.. which are okay, too.. but this song is just really fun! I know a bit about their back story from reading Matt Pinfield's book (he was trying to sign them when he w...
