re: How can I improve my starter bow set?
Posted by TheDrunkenTigah on 5/14/24 at 7:51 pm
Yep, like post above says you’re better off spending that money on some well built arrows, potentially learning to put them together yourself, that are identical and fit the bow, which is tuned to that arrow. The gadgets like a site and a rest are cool and some of them make you a bit better shot, bu...

I wouldn’t want one gun to do both, mainly because there’s no need to lug around a 12ga with TSS. I guess a 20ga slug is plenty for deer if you want to go that route. No complaints with my 500, I don’t feel like it’s possible to break one as long as all the parts are in it. Get a couple fridge magne...

I generally leave even venomous snakes to do their thing unless they are next to the house, but I don’t get all the clutching of pearls. My heeler killed a lizard this morning if one of y’all wants to come pick it up and give it a proper burial. ...

Not only that, but think about who would take the time to respond to this when cold called.
Might as well just say a large percentage of 800 old people who thought this was one of their relatives calling back aren’t strong 2A advocates, when asked to give a random political take out of context. ...
re: How should I fish with a jig?
Posted by TheDrunkenTigah on 5/6/24 at 7:56 am
If you’re talking bass, the answer is however they want it.
One of the most versatile baits there are when it comes to presentation. Fish will hit it on the fall if you tuck it under cover, if you get it in the right spot leave it there for as long as you can stand it, then pop it once. That can...

The hardest thing about containers is maintaining a balance between water and fertilizer. They dry out quicker, which means you water more, and rinse out nutrients unless they’re added consistently. I use a drip system with a timer to water each plant and hit them frequently with a weaker balanced f...
re: Spraying Round Up/Eraser At Night
Posted by TheDrunkenTigah on 5/2/24 at 9:17 am
Dew isn’t going to be an issue as long as you apply the way you should be, which is oz of herbicide per acre, not oz per gallon of water in the sprayer. Glyphosate is water soluble, if anything a decent dew will make sure the plant is wetted already and give better coverage, which you usually count ...

That’s only gonna help, we just try to avoid bringing in a tractor if we can help it. I top seeded last year after spraying, didn’t clip, and varied a bit on my seeding rates. All of them did well, especially the alyceclover, to the extent that I’m covering more area with less seed this year. Your m...

re: Game camera battery charger

They still have that bundle from time to time.
One thing you need to realize though, the solar panel doesn’t recharge the pack, it just delays the camera running it down. The solar panel has its own small battery it charges, so what we were finding is that cameras with solar would be dead later ...
re: Game camera battery charger
Posted by TheDrunkenTigah on 4/22/24 at 5:32 pm
Depends on the type of battery. If they’re the normal SLAs, you can jump them together in parallel wiring and hook up to any “dumb” charger that supplies a normal current. Smart chargers and lithium batteries are gonna struggle with this unless you pay for multiple banks. ...

Going to do cowpeas, alyceclover, and jointvetch this weekend into what’s left of the oats/wheat and clover from the fall mix. Instead of broad spectrum I’m gonna do clethodim with the idea that the grasses/cereal grains will be eliminated, and existing clover will produce until it’s too hot, then t...

You’ll get a little bit better feedback with snipershide or rokslide on this. Probably a few folks here with a manners on a custom action but a lot more there. You’re not gonna go wrong with anything they have if you’ve made the decision to go aftermarket on a stock, they’re top of the line and it g...
