Ohh I agree. But why would you let anything other than clothes get checked. That's stupid IMO I will let them take my carry on clothes bag at the gate. But I always use a thin computer bag for electronics. It's thin so nobody will cry over it being carried on. ...

I would never allow them to check my electronics bag. Now she was probably trying to fit everything in rolling carry on. That probably is at the max limit in size and the reason they wanted her to check it. Spirit allows a small personal bag. Computer bag works. But you pay for anything else...
