re: Angel Reese is classless

The other players don't like Clark because she's white? That can't be true, can it? I mean, black people can't be racist....can they?...
I agree entirely with your sentiments, though I admit to not being a fan of the term "gifted" that is used so often. The guy gave you a ticket, which was nice of him....
Classless
If she hadn't played for LSU, everyone would agree with you. I looked at the roster of her team a few days ago to see if I knew any of her teammates. They had Reese listed at 6' 3", 165 lbs. That big ole gal hasn't weighed 165 since she was in the ninth grade....
your an idiot
This is always good for a laugh....
Nobody said there were enough people interested in college baseball that ESPN would carry all those baseball games on their regular platforms as opposed to their regular programming. Absolutely no one said it or hinted at it The other poster said that only people in Baton Rouge and New Orleans c...

re: UNC fans looking rowdy

Well, Long Island is ahead, so it's always best to pick the winner after a few innings are played. ...
I kinda doubt Baton Rouge and New Orleans are the only places interested in college baseball. People all over Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, for example, are big college baseball fans. Not to the same degree as college football, of course, but the popularity of college baseball ...
Baseball, like all sports, is filled with "what if" scenarios. If a play in football doesn't work, it's generally considered a bad call. If a manager in baseball goes against the book in a lefty/righty matchup, it's a bad call if it doesn't work but "brilliant instinct" if it does. LSU won and ad...

re: Who does LSU start vs Long Island?

Heck, I wouldn't even assume Long Island loses....

re: How Are We Losing

Posted by BillF on 5/31/24 at 12:04 pm
Because the other team gives scholarships and has coaches, just like LSU. And baseball games aren't actually over after a few innings....

It takes approximately 30 seconds to read this entire thread, yet people are still posting that North Carolina doesn't play until tonight, like they just came up with this brilliant thought and had to share it....

re: Very disappointing flight

Boy, talk about a bunch of people looking to be offended over a relatively benign post! Simply saying you were disappointed that you didn't see more Tiger fans on your flight, then one guy having a bad day gets his drawers bunched, and other people just pile on. It's a copycat mentality that oft...
I suppose the UNC poster meant it to be a negative post about LSU fans, but I didn't take it as especially critical or harsh. SEC fans are much, much tougher on each other, and the trash talk is on a completely different level....
Thanks! I stand corrected....

re: New MLB Top 200 Draft List

Posted by BillF on 5/30/24 at 4:46 pm
If, in the coming years, baseball players receive full scholarships and revenue sharing, as has been speculated, it will cause a much bigger shift toward these prospects attending college, as well as retaining the draft-eligible sophomores....
I remember the "5 for 5" thread, but I remember it as different players on the original wish list. I thought the 5 were: Cam Robinson Hootie Jones Speedie Noil Gerald Willis Leonard Fournette Jamal Adam's wasn't on the "5 for 5" but fortunately replaced Hootie Jones . While LSU was hopefu...
I wear my LSU baseball cap to my kids track meets ????
So...you're not sure if you wear your LSU baseball cap?...

You don't have to be an old baseball fan to know about that Yankees-Pirates World Series. Even young baseball fans are familiar with it, along with Bobby Thompson's "Shot Heard 'Round the World", Babe Ruth's called homer, Don Larson's perfect game, and many other famous names and games from baseball...
