may get a call from LSU. Del Rio has family in Louisiana and this will probably be his last year as an NFL head coach more of a lame duck situation with the jacksonville jaguars. Jags owner has said playoffs or your fired for the upcoming season and judging with next years schedule he is done. If LSU came a calling and guaranteed say 4 million a year for say 4 years he would take it. Just throwing this out in case Miles does decide to leave. He could keep some of the staff already hear say frank wilson and a few others and bring dirk cutter with him as OC(former arizona state head coach)

If we take that approach this time, we will end up with Pelini or worse Tubberville. We need to open the checkbook if we want quality coaching.

There's nothing wrong with Del Rio as a possible candidate if Miles were to leave.

Even though he hasn't blown up the NFL, his record with the Jags is actually pretty good for the NFL.

Not trying to be a dick, but what the the hell has del rio ever done to make so many fans want him. I have heard his name for years, and just have no idea why.

We could do far worse than Pelini.

We must be the only school that can't shut up about Jack Del Rio.

I throw del rio out there because of the situation he is in compared to other coaches and the actual chance that he would come compared to other coaches people are sugguesting. Del rio i believe would be a great hire he has been strapped with the small market thing out here(jax)team can't keep good players out here. The players love him and respect him, but like LSU the QB situation has really made it hard for him to continually win games thus his 500 record. I believe he would be an excellent recruiter and closer. He has run an nfl team for 8 years so that is not bad experience to have and as they say he could have 25 first round draft picks instead of 1 every year. I think he could be a pete carroll type eventually. Plus i'd take him over tubberville or some of the other names that pop up if Miles does leave

If that were to happen the OC would be Todd Monken...not cutter.

Don't think Del Rio would be good for this year's recruiting class. He may be a good X's and O's guy, but I'm not sure about his recruiting.
