Certainly wasn't skip. It was Alleva.

I went to Florida that week to thaw out. I had to watch the game at the hotel. I froze my rear-end off when I got home though. At least the interstate was clear.

My brain remembered Rohan Davey and Josh Reed dominating this game...but I completely forgot the work that Domanick Davis put in...he had 4 TDs.

But Rohan with a casual 444 yards and 3 TDs
Josh Reed with 239 of those yards and 2 of the 3 TDs

Davis had 122 yards and 4TDs

It is odd how my memory of the game is us just torching their secondary and then them getting some garbage TDs in the 4th quarter.

Remember it somewhat well. The tailgating scene was off the charts despite the freezing, nasty weather. Louisiana’s cold weather really hits you with its humidity.

I went into the Dome with a really strong buzz. As others said, the game wasn’t that close. Dominick Davis went off, and I think we were up 35-7 at half. GentleJack took his strong buzz to “another level” during that first half.

I don’t remember the second half, but I assure you that the Illinois fans around me remembered me.

temperature got into the 30's. Walk to the Dome was brutal

It’s obvious those rolling their eyes at this statement are too young to have been there. It wasn’t just 30°, it was drizzling rain and the wind was howling. The wait to get into the Superdome took forever.

For people who were dressed for an indoor sporting event, IT WAS BRUTAL! If you were there, you remember.

We got in hotel elevator, some Ill-in-eye fan said , "Well, 11 is greater than 8', Meaning wins. One of our guys said and 47 is better than 34...

Not necessarily a Sugar Bowl memory but it kinda ties to it. My dad surprised me with SEC championship tickets that year and watching us upset Tennessee will always be in mind. Also, it was the first time he let me have a sip of beer… Great times!

We actually didn’t go to the game but had a big crew at a camp in Grand Isle and holy shite it was unbearably cold.

Some snooty fricking Illini student talked shite in my ear at Cats Meow at 2pm on Gameday unprovoked about how we going to run the ball without Toefield. I turned around, looked at him and asked him if he every heard of Dominick Davis…he said no. I said you will tonight. Dude laughed and left. frick that guy
