Biden should have made himself look like the bad guy, given some concessions to Putin and Zelensky while not meeting fully their demands.
You don’t seem to understand. Putin and Russia have been negotiating with Ukraine and various intermediaries since 2014. This was all prior to Zelensky and Biden being elected.
Everyone puts a lot of faith in Trump, but he was president for four years and he failed to resolve the dispute or get an agreement.
Russia negotiates, but seldom will they “settle”.

It’s been 48 hours. Has Kharkiv fallen yet? FWIW even the town he claimed he meant, Vovchans'k, hasn't fallen
Is that the town that he did not even mention in his post? Also has either one fallen now.

Ukrainians were overwhelmingly and still are against anything but gaining back pre 2014 borders
Do you realistically think that happens? Be honest and objective, if its possible for you.

The OP said was about Kharkiv and then he tried to say it was about the V town. He was just trolling like he always does. He is not to be taken seriously.

I feel relatively confident Putin would have taken a deal where Russia gets to keep Donbas and Crimea and access to the Black Sea and NATO simply fricks off and doesn’t add Ukraine to NATO.
Dude you gotta catch up on this thread, If you want to join our Ukraine First club, you gotta understand some basic facts:
Putin is gonna go invade all of Europe next if we don't stop them here.
BUT in no way do we support troops on the ground
BUT we DEFINITELY have to stop him at all costs (just don't ask us how that happens if this thing becomes protracted and Ukraine runs out of troops)
BUT the Russian military is also so inept lol they are bringing stuff out of storage thats 50 years old! XD
BUT they are definitely gonna march straight to Paris right after Kyiv.
So we don't care if it takes a million bajillion dollars and every last Ukrainian, we will increase shareholder value

Oh, so Russia hasn't suddenly made massive gains? Weird.

This was offered and Putin vetoed it

Russian President Vladimir Putin had rejected a potential deal with Ukraine offered by his key envoy in the early days of the invasion as he “expanded” his goals to include annexing more territory, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing three unnamed sources close to Russia's leadership.
Kremlin deputy chief of staff Dmitry Kozak, Putin’s chief envoy on Ukraine, was said to have secured a deal guaranteeing that Ukraine would not join NATO — a key Russian demand prior to its full-scale invasion of its pro-Western neighbor.
According to Reuters, Putin made clear that Kozak’s deal with an unspecified number of Ukrainian concessions did not go far enough.
Putin reportedly “expanded his objectives to include annexing swathes of Ukrainian territory,” Reuters reported.
“Everything was canceled. Putin simply changed the plan as he went along,” one of Reuters’ sources was quoted as saying.

So again, please cite anything that shows Russia was willing to accept anything other than a complete Ukraine surrender

Those opposing US aid to Ukraine are always pushing the notion that Russia is only doing what we forced them to do, and all Ukraine needed to do was compromise with Russia.
Of course Putin was never forced into invading in 2014, and never forced to ratchet things up in 2022; nor did he ever indicate he would compromise.

I guess what's-his-name got his "48 hours" talking point from the same Russian directive... coordinate the online information operation with the military one. Very FSB.

Well that’s an obvious lie. We all know that Boris went to Ukraine to blow up any deal that Zelensky may have been considering. Zelensky knows that if he compromises with Russia, then either NATO or the Nazis around him will kill him and his entire family. Can’t say I blame Zelensky with those stakes.
