Taking my son who is graduating high school this year to Chicago in June to watch cubs/braves and white sox/blue Jay's game. Looking for a good place to stay that doesn't break the bank and would be an easy Uber ride to each ball park. Any suggestions?

Try Airbnb if you are so inclined.
Chicago has mass transit, part of the game day experience there is swimming with the crowds.
Remember there are always drunken jerks and assholes at Chicago sporting events.
Especially night games.

You don’t need an Uber to either park, nor would I recommend it, especially going to Wrigley.
Plenty of hotels in River North, Streeterville and along Wacker in The Loop. No matter where you stay, you’re likely walking distance to a Red Line station — can get to either stadium from there.

We stayed at the Whitehall Hotel. It's a boutique hotel and was very reasonable. As stated you don't need uber, trains go to both stadiums. If you can go to Sox game first. Wrigley is a throwback in time and you don't want to ruin the Sox game, experience is just not the same.
WHITEHALL HOTEL
Center building, downtown, across street from the Hancock Tower. Take train from ORD and get off a couple blocks from hotel. We've used it several times and have enjoyed it each time w/o any complaints.

As others said, don’t take Uber to the stadiums. Both have El stations right next to the parks.
I’d look in River North/Magnificent Mile area for a hotel.

Stay at one of the Club Quarters hotels in the Loop, there are two and they are your best price/cleanliness value. There are cheaper spots but they are questionable.
Ride the red line to both ballparks. Uber could be a mess to the south side, and will absolutely guaranteed suck the fat one on the ride to Wrigley. Wrigley is in a densely-populated neighborhood with no interstate nearby.
Enjoy your time there, Wrigley is a riot. We used to go to games all the time in our 20's. Have a steak at Miller's pub, it's kind of a downtown institution. It's not expensive, was maybe $35-40 for a steak and domestic beer 10 years ago.
