I found the interview. It was 2/4/2020 after his first game against Giannis.
Question begins at about 45 seconds. He responds that it's frustrating when he feels like he can do his 45-inch vertical but then it turns out to be more like 30 or 35 inches.
That was a long time ago so who knows what his vertical is now, but it still doesn't look close to 45 inches like it was before the meniscus.

I remember this exact interview tbh, it was after his first game against the Bucks and Giannis in his rookie season. He was like 10 games into his career then and still recovering from his meniscus surgery and getting back into game shape.

I remember when Zion caught the ball and had a clear lane except for Giannis under the hoop. My instant reaction was "o shite it's about to go down." 
It's like it played out in slow motion. Giannis stuffed it but that had the potential for an all-time poster moment. Give Giannis props for now making a business decision and getting out of the way like %99 of the NBA would have.
