If that's what we do with a supposedly transcendental star, we're doomed to mediocrity. You're talking about a transcendental overall #1 pick becoming little more than a cutter off the ball. re: Darius garland or Trae young
In what way is "holding onto the ball and not initiating any sort of set offense and only passing when he can get an easy assist" playing "traditional" pg? Maybe in the crazy 1960s?
Can he successfully do this in crunch time? Despite BI's offense breaking tendencies, we woul...
Just looking at highlights and stats I'm wondering if there's a signifitcant difference between Garland and CJ? I know Garland averages more assists, but their Ast:TO ratio is pretty similar. Sure he's younger, but what does he add that the Pels don't already have or would be losing with BI going ...
The point of Point Zion is for ZION to run the POINT
I fully admit I don’t watch enough Trae to know how good of a fit he would be, but I disagree completely with this assertion that Zion needs to run the offense. Zion just needs the ball in space heading down hill, he doesn’t hav...
That trade just doesn’t balance for me but I can’t put my finger on what needs to change. On the surface it feels like the Pels get too much value, but that’s from quantity, not quality. I can see a deal going down between these 3 teams though. They are all in similar positions of having somethi...
The main deal is likely Trae buying in that Zion is Batman and he is Robin.
People are saying they are friends off the court that want to play together. I have no idea how true or strong that is, but if it's even half true I'm not worried about their personal chemistry. We also ...
Would have to hope DD really improved a level or two to fill Herbs shoes.
Nobody is filling Herb's shoes. If your goal is to stop a player 1-5, even now Dyson might be the better choice. But if your goal is to stop a play, Herb is and always will be better than Dyson because Her...
It just means Ingram is much more reasonable to trade for than Trae. Young will require more assets to land.
I don't even think it means that. Trae has a toxic locker room reputation, and many would argue he's overrated as player. There are just a lot of red flags around Trae tha...
Saw people kicking around the Jazz/Pels trade of: Pels get: Kessler Sexton Collins #10 Jazz get: BI Nance
Isn't Collins good for both regular rotation and redundancy though? Sexton is not the lead guard at the top of my list, but he is on the list and this trade seem...
I don't view White as a realistic option. The Bulls have Derozan. White is an up and coming dude... Why would they want BI? That's just not a team where a potential BI deal is viable for White, I just don't see the path.
I wonder if the Bulls would consider tanking? S...
Griff is doing his thing. I've seen even more interest in BI than I expected. ...
The only thing Ive heard about Trae is Wemby would be open to playing with him.
What I saw I believe was in response to those Wemby rumors and supposedly the Spurs would be okay with Murray coming back but weren't really interested in Trae. I'm sure it's all posturing or noise t...
I’ve read SA is interested in Trae not Murray. That should tell you something since they know who he is.
Really? I read the opposite not too long ago ...
I wouldn't move CJ just to move him this summer. I think you could wait until the deadline if you don't find a trade you like now. And you don't have to officially bench him to bench him. see JV....
We passed on the opportunity to get Murray for peanuts at the deadline.
They reportedly demanded Herb in return and that was a deal breaker. I think if the price was JV + Dyson or Hawk + 2 picks for Murray and Okongwu a deal would have been done....
Zion has absolutely made things difficult for BI and with his injury history he may continue to make things difficult for any costar. That's a big reason why I have Dejounte Murray as my top target. He's been the #1 at an All Star level before if Zion does go down, but he's also already eaten the ...

Who should the main target be?

Posted by TigerinATL on 5/14/24 at 9:42 am
Yeah they need to get some centers and maybe plug a few other holes, but high level ball handling and creation is the biggest hole the Pels need to fill, especially with BI going out in a trade. There's a pretty telling stat to find a replacement too, drives per game. The Pels at a minimum need to...
Not sure why you getting downvoted on this.
This board's biggest blind spots are not considering enough data and recency bias. In their defense, the 2 seasons where BI shot over 6 3s a game at 38% and 39%, were the pre and during COVID seasons. I'd say anything from that time fra...
I think people are really underestimating Suggs. He’s a fantastic fit with the current roster and he’s done exactly what you want to see young guys do, he’s gotten better every year. Say he takes another jump to 15/16 points per game next year, you break up your three primary on ball below av...
