How many times have you posted your arse in scrubs to Reddit?

Work in the OR for a few years. Learn as much as possible and try to become Charge or Lead. Get a master's in anything. Move into sales or some cush consulting role.
A RN with OR experience can crush it in sales related to surgical products, etc. There are many doors outside the hospital.
Or you can shovel shite and push meds on the floor for the next 30 yrs.

Don’t have him as a father in law

People will tell you to work on the floor first out of school. That’s bullshite. Work on whatever type of unit you prefer because no matter where you start, you’re not gonna know your arse from a hole in the ground. You might as well learn/become proficient in the place you want to be.

Not a nurse, but my advice would be to get a job in the ICU at a level one trauma center hospital right after graduation. After 9 months or so, take a traveling job in California where you can make 6 figures easily. Save money when traveling

Goal is flight but 2 yrs of icu before I can even apply, but heard flight doesn’t pay much but not really going in for the $$ it’s more of a dream

Those travel gigs will dry up.

Few nurses at my hospital getting out of travel for that reason

It won’t happen again either. Way too much money being paid for travel and nurses to be on vacation. Health care at local levels are collapsing.

Really, when was the last time you heard of a hospital being fully staffed? The pay gap might narrow between travel and staff but opportunities will always be out there.

I deff didn’t know how bad staffing issues were till I saw first hand

Why are there so many slooty nurses

Then my advice would be work in an icu at a big hospital where patients are sick as shite. After you get a couple years under your belt, you can go wherever you want. Can always go back to school too if you get the itch.
