How would you go about those contingencies? Let him fix it and get it inspected? Or ask for a bunch of money off up from and do it myself after purchase?...

I was being purposefully vague on it since this all happened after I was already under contract on it. I didn’t know if talking on here about it was somehow in violation of the contract in case the builder frequented tigerdroppings. ...

Very thorough. Thank you for the info. There is a large retention pond planned for the area directly behind the property that we water would be diverted to. But for whatever reason, it was not done properly.
So I guess it’s salvageable in theory, just don’t know if it worth the headache. The mon...

New Construction Drainage Worry
Posted by Kunu on 3/17/24 at 7:21 pm
Im looking to buy a home that was just built. However, the yard seems to hold a lot of standing water and has drainage issues.
About how much would it cost to fix these issues? I’ll try to attach some photos for a better idea of what I’m talking about.

People will tell you to work on the floor first out of school. That’s bullshite. Work on whatever type of unit you prefer because no matter where you start, you’re not gonna know your arse from a hole in the ground. You might as well learn/become proficient in the place you want to be. ...
