Razor strop from either mom or dad but that was 50's/60's. With two pieces of leather, I could handle the first, the second hit my hamstrings which really stung. Teacher had wooden paddles and my school principal had a jockey bat, but that wasn't until 7th grade

I was raised by my grandmother. She did not believe in using a belt, she preferred the hickory switch. And I’d bet my retirement that if she went one on one against Master Yoda with one, she’d whip his arse…. Badly.

Belt and grandparents with a stick. Got the paddle from the principal and teacher to. Surprisingly, my sister and I didn’t turn out fricked up or in trouble with the law.

Yes on the belt and the board of education. The board had holes drilled in it - my father said it was to cut down on wind resistance.

I had about 5 or 6 good whippings from my dad. Last one when I was 12 or 13. He would make me go to my room and make me wait for him about 20 minutes. Then he would slowly come down the hall snapping his belt and enter my room and give me my whipping. Of course, like most kids, I went overboard on hysterics in hopes that it would shorten the session. And screaming bloody murder always got mom intervening to cut it short. It stung but nothing like I let on.

My dad whipped me with a belt once or twice, but I would’ve rather taken 10 of them than ever hear him say he was disappointed in me. I think that’s when you know you did a great job as a father.

But actually he was. He had just come home and unbeknownst to me or my mom, he had witnessed the entire ordeal including my cocky a-hole comment about how it "didn't even hurt"

I probably got it 3-5 times. I figured out the limits pretty quick.
Got a mom face slap one time and it was probably a light sentence for the crime. It didn't hurt more than the belt, but it was far more demoralizing.

Oh yeah
First time was in 5th grade when I brought home a bad report card. I stupidly gave it to my dad. He whipped the hell out of me with that belt.
The next time I got a bad report card, I smartened up and gave it to my mom….. let her take the beating…

My dad used to pry manhole covers from the ground and beat me over the head until I was a bloody twitching mess on the ground. I deserved it.
