Jeff Beck plays drums on the Stevie Wonder hit "Superstition".

Beck came up with the beat, but Stevie Wonder played drums. Stevie originally wrote the song for Beck.

What LSU basketball players dad played with Jimi Hendrix voodoo child ?

This is wrong, but I love Winwood’s contributions to music being recognized. He and Al Kooper are two of the more under-appreciated contributors to rock history.

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, George Harrison, and John Sebastian all turned down invitations to join Crosby, Stills, and Nash before they asked Neil Young.

The lead guitar solos on Thunder Island by Jay Ferguson are Joe Walsh.

I can hear it. Good song.

On a related note, and I just learned this the past 6 months or so, Joe Walsh is credited as "additional guitars" on the Wilson Phillips megahit Hold On.

Obviously, the main (clean) guitar on the song was Martin Landau, but in a couple of spots there is a dirty/crunchy rhythm section played by Walsh. It is just a few seconds of the song, but certainly 30+ years later this is akin to figuring out it is Mick Jagger on the backing vocals of You're So Vain. Once you hear either you can't unhear it.

Alice Coopers song "Poison" on 1989 Trash album is about his alcohol addiction and not a woman like the video portrays.

Furthering the Beatles/James Taylor story, George Harrison's "Something" is directly taken from Taylor's "Something In the Way She Moves", which George uses as the first line of his song.

Dan Fogelberg interviewed with Don Henley to join the Eagles, but they both realized they were headed in different musical directions. They remained friends (which would have never happened if he actually joined the Eagles ). Joe Walsh got the job.

I only found out recently that Flea played the Bass on Young MC's "Bust A Move". Should have known, just by listening to it...

The song Red Barchetta by Rush is about a car in the future that was eventually banned.

There is a short story about it at the link. For whatever reason, it will not let me post the direct link.

It's a good read if you're a Rush, car fan.
