Just do what a doctor says. Being short isn’t that big of a deal unless you let it be a big deal. And the chicks that won’t look at a guy that’s under 6’, they’re doing you a favor. They are toxic pieces of shite.

I suggest trying a diet w real food and a fitness regiment focusing on strength, hypertrophy, endurance, and cardiovascular training.
W a proper diet and a vast variety of strain on the muscular skeletal system it can kick start a health chain of reaction on the endocrine system.

Also if he is athletic enough to play basketball he is athletic enough to be really good at other sports.

Milk would be the most important thing for growth. The calories, calcium, and almost unparalleled vitamin and mineral content all will aid in both his hormones, general nutrition, and growth. Anecdotally I have a friend that drinks milk daily at 25, he is 6'2 while his parents and siblings all top off at abut 5'7. Milk also contains the natural hormones youre seeking that will benefit him - thyroid, proegesterone, tesosterone. Basically any milk he likes will do.

Am I the only one thinking this kid has a growth spurt coming up? Feet are the clue here.

Also, be careful what you wish for. My teen son had a huge growth spurt over the summer and then got osgood schlatters as a result. Working on wrapping that up now.
